RAVE Soccer Complex Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, we may be required to cancel training sessions for all or part of the day.

Entire Day If the weather forecast calls for sustained and heavy rains or snow and ice, we will cancel the training sessions for the day. In the case that any event requires cancellation, coaches and parents can be notified by calling the RAVE hotline number (757) 886-5089.  A message will be left at least 1 hour before the training session begins. The Rave facility manager will also endeavor to e-mail and telephone all participants when possible.

Partial Day If a practice session has started and there are unexpected changes in the weather that require cancellation, we will update the hotline with the cancellation information. We encourage coaches and parents to make arrangements for the pick-up of their children if the weather suddenly turns nasty or if lightning warnings are issued.

Make Up In the event of cancellation, we will attempt to make up the time. The VA Rush RAVE facility manager will notify all coaches and managers of their options in the case of any cancellations. You can also call the facility manager to determine the method of making up time at (757) 633-8434.
