Virginia Rush Soccer Club Partners With Rave Soccer Complex

Virginia Beach, VA - Virginia Rush Soccer Club is pleased to announce a long-term partnership with RAVE Soccer Complex at Shipp's Corner beginning with the fall of 2012. RAVE Soccer Complex and Indoor is a privately owned and operated athletic facility, located in the heart of Hampton Roads. It was designed to accommodate adult and youth league games, training, clinics, tryouts, and other activities. It offers four (4) Bermuda grass lighted athletic fields, a 34,000 square foot indoor building, a two-story office and meeting facility surrounded by fine landscaping and excellent amenities. This state-of-the-art complex easily compares to European training facilities and is the only one of its kind in the US.

After considering overall programming, staff and club goals, RAVE selected Rush for this partnership. Particularly, our commitment to bringing soccer training in the area to a new level through improving coaching quality and opening player/parent/coach communication and feedback was highly valued by RAVE, which went through a selection process similar to that of US Soccer and the ECNL when choosing us for their top-flight national league. The selection was based on the quality of our programs and not economics. From a financial point of view, our proposal was not the highest.

We are excited with the new opportunities this partnership will afford our players, from our youngest Developmental members to our top-class ECNL and US Soccer Developmental Academy, our TOPSoccer players and our adult players. Rave Soccer Complex addresses the shortage of quality training spaces in our area. Going from (2) two lighted fields to six (6) will increase our members’ opportunities to train in a high quality environment. There isn't a constituent in our Club that won't benefit from this partnership as we continue to build and provide a Home for our members.

RAVE Soccer Complex will allow Rush to expand existing programs and introduce new ones. Most of the adult leagues in the area will merge and will jointly utilize this facility. They all will benefit from this partnership, which will allow us to offer Indoor Leagues and training on the Futsal Court, SPARQ Training, as well as Youth Academy Programs.
